Since leaving Berlin in September I’ve traveled to New York for two weeks, then Texas for a month, and now back to New York for (hopefully) good. I’ve sadly been absent from blogging normally for awhile now, but aim to be more consistent by January.

Blogging isn’t as easy as most would believe and as Instagram leads other to think. Take Essena O’Neill’s recent outcry that, SOCIAL MEDIA IS NOT REAL for example. All of my posts take a lot of planning and work (as does large majority of successful online influencers). Something that many new followers don’t understand about me is the work it takes to have photos of myself to be taken (yes, first world blogger problem.. I know). Though having a bloggers photo taken is is the core essence of personal style bloggers, having their photo taken to show the clothing and how cool their life is. Without a hired photographer, a boyfriend or girlfriend always around, a blogger must depend on a friend who is willing to take their photo. I fall into the last category always having my friends, siblings, and even parents take my photos sometimes. For me this reason is why I have slowed down posting regularly as I used to before my travels to Europe. While I would love to share each creative thought I have in mind, without the right counterpart to take my photo. I’m limited, and won’t share subpar photos that fit the “unreal” personality I lead online. So facing social media reality while in Texas for the past month, it’s not super exciting for most followers who joined along when I was in Europe or New York.

This is why I’ve been working on creating my new website to diversify my content much more and stop relying on personal style. My goal is for my new site to be done by January which will have less of me, and more stories from my past (and future) travels, stories of other influencers advice on how they achieve their success, and sprinkled in personal style as seems fit. Plus whatever else I find exciting in the upcoming year.

While I may not be posting full outfit posts anymore, I still have been doing outfit photos daily on my Instagram: @BluePerk. Here are some of my favorites from the past two weeks:
