Getting away from NYC is so important, I looooove the city (I’ve been living here for 7 years now), but getting away is necessary to remember how life is outside of the everyday hustle. Tim and I were invited by The Time Nyack, a cute hotel in the town of Nyack, New York for a two-night visit.
To access The Time Nyack Hotel, you can either take the Metro-North to Tarrytown stop and then take an uber or local taxi over the bridge to the hotel. Or I’d recommend renting a car to get the full experience of escaping NYC to enjoy relation while getting out into the wilderness! Tim and I also partnered with Mazda for the weekend. We were lucky enough to drive Mazda’s new CX-5 Grand Touring AWD, I can not recommend enough!
After arriving to the hotel we had a seamless check-in from the hotel’s friendly staff and then made our way to eat. If you have a car, I can highly recommend visiting Indian Curry Kitchen, Asian Fusion, and The Vietnam Restaurant for dinner. Each is soooo good! Tim and I were very surprised by how good food we found outside of NYC.
Waking up at the pleasant hour of 2 pm on Saturday could not have felt better feeling rested outside of the city. We had plans to hike Bear Mountain for our first time together. It had been on our bucket list for a while once it finally got warmer. The views were everything that we were hoping for!
Then just like that, it was Sunday, time for us to check out of The Time Nyack Hotel. Where we so happily called our home away from home. Our last meal was spent at Art Cafe Nyack, they have the most delicious food for the best prices (compared to NYC). We are already looking forward to visiting Nyack again mostly for how good their brunch options are. True moments of joy!
If you have any questions on what else to do in Nyack, which hike we took at Bear Mountain or anything else that comes to your mind. As always, leave me a comment or find me on Instagram. 🙂
