Favorite Summer Outfits

Let's start today's blog post with some tunes over on the right hand of the screen. You'll see my favorite workout DJ set. I hope you enjoy! It has high energy to keep you pushing harder and dancing longer. 

Now for the fun:

These past warm months have been a blast! I can't believe we are already halfway through August and as I write this, it's overcast and raining in New York as if Fall is just around the corner. I won't give up my short shorts or beach days just yet! I'm going to hold onto them for dear life. I will stay in denial that winter is coming for as long as possible. Let's remain in denial together by looking back at some of my favorite outfits so far from my Instagram: 

To be honest, if you haven't guessed yet, I am sort of a sucker for a cool print. Prints are such an easy go-to during summer, either it's a cool 80's style shirt like the image above or something more seasonal like a floral shirt. I believe as long as you balance the print with a solid bottom or top, you'll be set for a solid outfit. 

Yes, another print. This time I went for a floral shirt and a solid short. Same idea of allowing the print do all the work, while my shorts are a complimenting pink. The floral shirt is one of my favorites this summer! 

Three for three anyone? My micro-print floral shirt in this outfit requires you to look a bit more closely to see the design. Again, I pair my colors to compliment each other. Do you see a trend yet? Making sure you wear prints with complementing solid colors is key! ;) 

Now in case anyone still believes or should I say follows the old rule, don't wear white after labor day. Forget it right now! I'm a firm believer in wearing what you want, when you want, as long as it looks good when you do it. I personally don't wear white pants very often, but that's because I'm always afraid of ruining them. 

White jeans are also quite versatile. Going from the dressed up outfit above to this more casual outfit. I find white jeans a fun way to freshen up an outfit during summer or whenever the moment is right! :)



Last but not least is this sophisticated pattern shirt I found when thrift shopping. The pattern reminds me of Louis Vuitton. Just with a Blue Perk touch! A new go-to in my closet when running out the door and want to look polished for a meeting.
