This blog post was originally shared fall of 2014:
As some of you know and other don’t, I left New York back in May with only three suitcases to travel Europe for three months and have since settled in Berlin as my new home as of two months ago. With this move I was only able to bring a VERY limited amount of my clothing. Now that I am rebuilding my wardrobe it has been important to focus on basics that will serve a purpose, aka keep me warm and dry. For me a parka is my main go-to jacket during winter when it’s really cold and second is a leather jacket. Now for my feet, it’s important to have shoes that aren’t rain boots (I just don’t), but shoes that will keep your feet warm and dry against unavoidable rain puddles.
When I shot these photos the weather was quite brisk allowing my parka serve it’s purpose keeping me warm and there may have been no rain, but the inner fur lining in my shoes sure did keep my feet toasty. Exactly what’s needed for winter ahead. 😉
