Chevy provided me with a vehicle loan to test drive but all opinions are my own.
Getting to escape Los Angeles for so many different outdoor destinations is one of the main reasons I love living in LA. As some of y’all might know, I live in Santa Monica and the closest getaway is Malibu – just up the road on the Pacific Coast Highway. While I was testing out Chevy’s newest 2020 Equinox, I decided to drive out to Malibu one Sunday for breakfast at one of my favorite breakfast burrito spots, Country Kitchen. While enjoying my favorite sausage, egg, potato, and black bean burrito, I got the idea to just keep cruising up the PCH to really enjoy the comfort of the Equinox.
After an hour of cruising down the PCH taking advantage of the massive sunroof, seat warmers to keep me warm while I had the fresh air flowing through the car. The touch screen navigation directed me and allowed me to DJ my favorite music seamlessly from my phone using the Infotainment system. I could very much not be bothered. Literally, while driving up the PCH, I lost complete signal and loved being disconnected.
There is a charm about getting to disconnect from my phone while driving. It reminds me of more simple times when I was growing up in Texas driving down to Padre Island before I even had a cell phone.
Fast-forward to now, life is a lot busier and my cellphone is almost always attached to me. Luckily, Chevy allowed me to disconnect even if just for a few hours. All of the vehicles features, leather interior, and especially front & rear view cameras really had me spoiled during my drive. I can’t wait to test drive Chevy’s Equinox again.
As always, if you have any questions about Chevy’s 2020 Equinox or just want some recommendations in Santa Monica or Malibu, always feel free to leave a comment below.
