OH-EM-GEEEE Y’ALL! How have y’all been? For those of you who are reading this right now. Hiii!! Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog, which I have neglected for far too long. The time of neglecting is over. I’m going to be holding myself accountable to AT LEAST one new blog post per week. You read that right, I’m going to return to my roots of blogging.
Last year I took a hard step back from working on all fronts and I went through a bit of a personal depression. It took me a few months at the end of last year to realize what my problem was and the answer was that I missed working. Such a funny idea how we always think the the grass is greener on the other side of wherever we are in life (sometimes). I moved to LA to live a much more relaxed lifestyle, which I very much did, I relaxed so much I turned my work mode switch off and lived a total beach life a little too much. So much so, I became depressed by the lack of motivation to wake up, get out of bed, and forgetting what made me special to be honest. Not to forget looking for happiness in the wrong places, like all the bars of West Hollywood.
Luckily, I was able to pull myself out of my self created depression. I’m still not one hundred yet, but being self aware has helped me so much to reach out for help. Since December of last year, I’ve been working with a career coach who has not only been helping me set new goals, but also in small part play a therapist role. My own inner judge is the hardest to battle with alone. Acknowledging my own inner critic isn’t the most helpful was the number one step to creating happiness within my own mind. This new journey of happiness and self fulfillment is an exciting journey be going through. I have lived a lot of life in my short 28 years alive. This new chapter is similar to other chapters like when I moved to New York City from Texas or when I moved to Berlin from New York City, yet very different in its own way. I’m not the same young 19 year old fresh to New York City boy that started this journey, yet I can relate to the young boy I once was. As I am once again new in a large city that is very different from New York City and Berlin. I am super excited to have my head in the right place now after a year of getting lost to hopefully succeed in Los Angeles. Only time will tell and y’all will get to read about my journey one blog post update per week.
As for those who do not follow me on Instagram yet. Please do! You’ll get to see all of the images from last year I shared from fun trips like to Yosemite, London, and Tel Aviv just to name a few of my favorite 2019 trips.
