For those who enjoy fresh beer as much as I do, you’ll be happy to learn Singha beer is now available in draft form. Singha is brewed at Boon Rawd Brewery, Thailand’s largest brewery. Once only available in bottles at bars or restaurant is now available in it’s freshest form. Offering all the rich flavors that were once lost when bottling.
A few weeks ago, June 29th, I had the pleasure of having dinner with multitalented billionaire Nick Bhirombhakdi while he visited New York City on a press trip for Singha draft. Nick is the current Executive Vice President and Director of Boon Rawd Brewery, Executive Director of Singha Corporation, Ltd. and Chairman of Singha Estate Plc. He has quite the detailed background. After attending Boston University, rather than returning to Thailand to help run Boon Rawd, the family business, Bhirombhakdi went into banking, working at European American Bank in New York City. Until the mid-1980s, Bhirombhakdi reconsidered and returned to Thailand and Boon Rawd. His father had worked hard and Nick knew it was time to return to allow his father to relax.
A little bit more about what Nick and I talked about for Singha is their plans to open a brewery/restaurant in Miami that will serve Thai-fusion food, as well as building an island in Dubai to expand the brand’s portfolio.
