Dr. Martens Berlin Summer Style

Wearing 1461 SHOES paired with MEN IN CITIES BACKPACK and my favorite Nirvana shirt, in my second outfit for #StandForSomething collaboration. To me, I stand true to my morals. You can read exactly what this means on my first OUTFIT BLOG POST.

First I will discuss my outfit and second some unfortunate recent news. As for what I’m wearing. I’ve been a fan of cutting my shirts for some extra breathing room this summer. Something that started for Berghain steamy dance sessions progressed into everyday outfits such as this one that can easily be worn for back to school style or running errands on a busy hot day. 

Secondly, in a turn of unexpected events, Thursday I found out that I have to leave Berlin for 6 moths due to visa problems. Where I stayed passed my passport grace period and didn’t know I was breaking the law, the German government didn’t give me a chance to explain myself. To them, in their eyes I’m a criminal that only has two weeks to leave Germany or else they’d place me in jail. So on September 10th, I am forced to leave Germany/ EU for 6 months. I am torn to be leaving after I’ve worked so hard to make Berlin my new home. Though, I am happy to see my friends in New York and family back in Texas. I am going to miss Berlin so much my new friends and found happiness that happiness that I had been searching for so long. 

Reality can be cruel sometimes. Though, I hope my philosophy that everything happens for a reason stays true.
