Second edition of sharing where I shoot my photos is underway! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Bushwick is pretty awesome for all it’s amazing inspiring walls. My new neighborhood has made taking photos pretty easy. With the help of my husband of course and some photoshop skills. 😉
Wearing: Jared Lang shirt/ Rag & bones pants/ Toms sunglasses
Location: Bushwick, Brooklyn, The Bushwick Collective
Living only a few blocks away from The Bushwick Collective where there are countless murals and beautiful colored walls has been a gold mine for me. With every few steps I am able to match my outfit to the different background setting. Especially now that the weather is warming up, I am packing my bag and bringing 3 to 4 outfits with me to change for multiple outfit looks to get ahead on my weekly content.
Wearing: Gap shirt/ Levi shorts
Location: Bushwick, Brooklyn – The Bushwick Collective
This wall in-particular you wouldn’t recognize right away if you saw it in person then compared it to my photo. This is because yes the dots are in the image, they are not the same dark and light blue dots. My husband has played around with making this image more captivating through photoshop. An amazing tool I had not used before, but now with the help of my husband. We are able to create even more amazing photos by taking pieces from other works of art to make our own.
Wearing: American Eagle jacket/ Abercrombie shirt/ 7 for all Mankind jeans/ Tretorn shoes/ Daniel Wellington watch/ Triwa sunglasses
Location: Bushwick, Brooklyn – Montana’s Trail House
For this outfit my husband and I wanted a background the typical bright color, but allow my outfit to stand out against a more neutral tone. This wooden wall apart of what looks to be a cute restaurant, Montana’s Trail House was the perfect location we had been eyeing for the right outfit to shoot at. We haven’t been to the restaurant yet to try the food, but it’s on our list of places to visit when not focusing on shooting photos.
Outfit: Robert Graham shirt/ Gap jeans/ Marc Jacobs watch
Location: Soho, Manhattan – Kenmare St. & Mulberry St.
On the border of SoHo and Chinatown in Manhattan there is this great strip of graffiti murals that I had been waiting for the perfect moment to take photos at. Especially for this printed shirt that has so much detail, I wanted a wall that would compliment the shirt. It would be an understatement to say I love this photo. 😉
Wearing: Commes des Garcon shirt/ Abercrombie shirt/ American Eagle joggers/ Toms sunglasses/ Casio watch
Location: Chelsea, Manhattan – W. 16th St. & 10th Ave.
For those of you who follow me on INSTAGRAM and view my INSTAGRAM STORIES, you would have seen I was dog sitting for a friend last week. He was the most adorable Boston terrier that I completely enjoy taking care of whenever my friends is out of town. While dog sitting, I was staying at my friends Chelsea apartment directly along the highline. Giving me a new neighborhood walls to take pictures against. My husband and I had been looking for some yellow, and found this spot right outside a post office. It’s just perfect when find something in most unexpected locations!
Wearing: Gap shirt/ Gap jeans/ Tommy Hilfiger shoes/ Daniel Wellington watch
Location: Chinatown, Manhattan – Elizabeth St. & Broome St.
While in the city, I had the leisure to enjoy some of my favorite cheap Chinese food markets in the city. Especially now that it’s finally warm! The shirt that I’m wearing in this outfit is the perfect blend of warm yet soft and slightly undone at the sleeves. Everything I could ask for on a pleasant Spring day!
Wearing: Primark shirt/ Page denim/ Kenneth Cole sneakers
Location: Bushwick, Brooklyn – Cypress St. & Troutman St.
Last but not least, we make a full circle back to my neighborhood of Bushwick with my husband Timur. Who I am slowly, but surely getting in front of the camera more instead of behind it. What do you think of our stride? We’re still working on our poses. Though with due time, I’m sure we’ll get it down!
