This blog post was originally shared summer of 2014:
Not like other cities such as Paris, London, and Rome. You can head to the posh neighborhood of Mitte and be in the center of a handful of monuments such as their tv tower, Berlin Cathedral Church, German historical museum, the spree, and of course brandenburg gate. All this is easily accesssable from Alexanderplatz metro station either Ubahn or Sbahn and then on foot headed west towards brandenburg tor, and once there you can also see the holocaust memorial and wander through tiergarten. A real treat for spending a day through Berlin’s history.
I can’t wait to get back to Berlin in another three weeks, it’s going to be great to settle down for a month or two. After moving to a new city each month, I must confess, I miss having authentic friends and feeling at home instead of a guest in someone else’s home… Till then two more weeks in Barcelona (mostly going to be spent at the beach, working hard on my tan), and then one week in Paris for meetings before Berlin! 🙂
