Last week I made a spontaneous trip to Istanbul for a week and was able to explore many cool locations, but this secret rooftop was by far my favorite. Making for the perfect backdrop for this outfit wearable during any mild winter day.

Winter varies on how cold it is depending on region, but one thing that always stays universal is warm colors during winter. This is why I love the colors brown, red, black, and gray during the colder months of the year. Mixing plaid, a jumper, and khakis made for a comfortable winter outfit while exploring Istanbul for my first time.

As I mentioned in 10 STUNNING IMAGES OF ISTANBUL DURING WINTER, I did not expect Istanbul to be so cold during my trip and I was only actually able to dress so relaxed like today’s outfit for one day. Otherwise the rest of my trip I was covered in jackets, scarves, and a beanie. While I was still freezing for half of my trip, I would highly recommend anyone to visit. There is much to see and the locals are very nice. If you find a cheap ticket like I did, make the leap and explore Istanbul. Might I add, I had the pleasure to stay of staying at GRAND HYATT ISTANBUL during my stay. Located right next to Taksim Square and walking distance to my cool parks, bars, and night life. I was very happy with my choice of accommodation. ;)
