Feeling at Home in New York City

After a month of traveling, it sure does feel good to be home. Reunited with my eclectic clothing and all the fun designs.

I can not express how happy I am to have my full closet again. When traveling, the hardest part for me is to decide what I will bring with me. My usual way of packing is to plan my outfits in advance and then add in options that are easily switched out for versatility. That for me is a solid colored shirt and something that is a graphic statement piece. Though I already have plenty of them, I always try to bring one new piece with me from one of my favorite online shops.

This is most important to keep my style fresh. My recent travels from New York to Berlin, Paris, Prague, Berlin and then finally back to New York was a bit tough. Mostly because over the four weeks, I only took a backpack and two tote bags for my luggage. I know you must think I am crazy to pack so light, especially since I am a fashion blogger. Though to be honest, I am a fan of packing light. I'm not as high maintenance as many may think I am. Yes, there are certain things I can't go without such as my cosmetics. Though for this trip, I was lucky enough to pull a lot of clothes from my friend's vintage store in Berlin, Haha You’re Ugly. Almost every statement piece you find from those blog posts I linked to above are from their store.

Though now that I’m back in NYC, I have all of my fun shirts to wear again. These are two of my favorites at the moment. They are both asking for attention in the best way. Thumb freddy rodriguez berlin wall colorful
How could you not love this shirt?! The print feels straight out of the 80’s. When I first saw it, I instantly fell in love. It’s a statement and staple piece in my wardrobe.

This shirt is actually my husbands, but you know the old saying. His stuff is mine and mine is his… You know, it is pretty awesome having a husband who is the same size as me and has more fun clothing that I get to wear.

What are your thoughts on fun printed shirts? I’d like to hear more in comments.
